I wanted to shout out to all the amazing parents a I wanted to shout out to all the amazing parents and fellow teachers (if you're in Victoria) as we embark on this new way of learning. It's new, it's different, it will be exciting for some, overwhelming for others. There will be moments of joy and frustration, and the full spectrum of emotions in between as we all navigate our way through this new normal together. ⁠ ⁠ But please remember the most important thing is your, and your families happiness and wellbeing. ⁠ ⁠ As humans we can achieve amazing things, get through unimaginable hardship and be so incredibly resilient. But we can't be everything. Please don't try to! ⁠ ⁠ Be gentle and kind to yourself and your family. If you're a parent, be a parent no one is expecting you to be a teacher. Love and support your children as you do everyday. At this time our kids need us and our love more than ever. ⁠ Find time to look after you, put your wellbeing to the top of list (which I know may seem impossible at times) but find a way. Show your children you matter to you. When you are calm and rested you give your best self to them. ⁠ ⁠ Remember there is no one or right way to do this, for schools and families, we are all learning as this unfolds. ⁠ ⁠ Focus on what's right for you and your your family. And most importanly know that in this moment you are doing the best you can, and that will be enough 💗⁠

The conversation that followed was such an important one. Let’s just say the list we got was extensive! Here were just a few... Visiting and staying with Gran & Pa. Hugging, reading & playing with Gran & Pa. 📚 💗 Hugs and laughing with friends. Having my bestie over for play. Walking to school in the sun. 🌙☀️ Spending Easter with family. 🐣 School holiday play dates. Connecting face to face with friends. Our art, supplies, LEGO, puzzles. 🎨 The checkout operators at the supermarket The amazing healthcare workers My freedom to simply go out and do what feels good for me. 🌲(minus the hand sanitizer 😂) This situation is gifting us a huge lesson in gratitude 🙏💜💛❤️ What’s something that comes to mind for you? Maybe ask your loved ones or a friend this question today. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday 💕

When you do head out for some exercise, I wanted to make a suggestion of something to do over these holidays. To support local businesses you could go and get a drink or some food to takeaway and go somewhere for a walk. It would not only make you feel good it will help businesses get through these tough times. So why don’t you help out your favourite food store to help them stay busy!! My favourite local cafe @cratespecialtycoffee make the best almond chai and check out this epic raspberry meringue 😋😋!!
Perhaps one of the biggest lessons life has shown Perhaps one of the biggest lessons life has shown me over the past 5 years, as there have been many, is that life is always happening FOR us. It often doesn't feel this way, especially when we are at our lowest, engulfed in pain and just want to shout why me?! But once I allowed the emotion to dissipate, I was able to see things differently. Even in those moments of darkness, life was inviting me to grow, expand, evolve and look inward.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ I’m choosing to see this situation in the same light. What is it here to teach me? If we are able to look with awareness, non judgment and acceptance for what is, we may be able to see something that is happening for our greater good. The lessons are unfolding everyday for me...⁠ ⁠ ⁠ - The present moment, this is all that is certain. Using it as an anchor to keep coming back to. ⁠ - Letting go of thoughts and attachment to the way life ⁠should be and just allowing what is. ⁠ - Patience of a whole new level with two children at home. ⁠ - The importance (perhaps more than ever) of making time ⁠ for my own self care EVERY day. ⁠ - Gratitude, gratitude and more gratitude. ⁠ ⁠ ⁠ I’d love to know what is this new normal teaching you? ⁠💗
There is so much more to this one precious life th There is so much more to this one precious life than what I originally perceived to be the case. I feel like each day I’m sinking deeper into what really matters, what I’m really here for and who I am. . The more I learn about me, the more I’ve discovered that it’s not about ‘becoming’ something or someone. Or creating a better updated version of myself. Rather it’s been an ‘unbecoming’. A stripping back and unravelling of all the beliefs and stories that I’ve have built up over decades. They have so much power over us without us even knowing. These beliefs and stories become our unconscious computer program that runs in the background. We act on it everyday without even realising. . Discovering my beliefs and stories hasn’t been easy and is still a work in progress. It takes time and space, is hard, confronting, messy and certainly has had me feeling all the feels. But bringing awareness to these beliefs and stories is where the gold lies. Because through building awareness I can then choose a different story and create new beliefs and habits for myself and my life. . So what am I choosing? For me it’s a life filled with more joy, more freedom, more me, more self trust, more surrender, more letting go, more personal power and more internal peace💗🙏 . When we build awareness we build our capacity to choose 💫💗😊
